Aaron Rodgers Might Be Entering His Last Season With Packers
There was a ton of speculation about Aaron Rodger’s future in Green Bay when the Packers elected to use their first-round pick on QB Jordan Love out of Utah State. Rodgers has admitted that he was surprised by the pick and could not say he was “thrilled.”
With that could come two things – Rodgers could have a bad attitude the whole season and find himself accelerating his timeline in Green Bay, or he could come out guns a blazing, looking to prove to the front office that they made a mistake.
The lack of weapons is a concern for the Packers. Rodgers has one of the best receivers in Davante Adams, but after that, it’s a big drop off. The Packers not only didn’t use their first-round pick on a receiver, they didn’t use any in what was regarded as one of the deepest wide receiver classes in history. Instead, they are set that Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard are good enough for the team to compete.
Rodgers threw for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns and only four interceptions last season. ESPN projects him to digress in 2020, throwing for only 3,870 yards, 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
With Aaron Jones breaking into one of the best running backs in the league and with Rodgers not having as many options at receiver, it’s not shaping up for the best season at Lambeau.
