Highly-touted four-star linebacker Anthony Sacca made headlines as he unveiled his top five college choices this Thursday. The Ohio State Buckeyes officially have a good shot at landing a huge addition to their future defense.
Hailing from St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, the 6-foot-2.5, 225-pound athlete has garnered significant attention from top-tier programs.
Sacca’s elite selection includes powerhouse football programs such as Alabama, Duke, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. Intent on making informed decisions, he plans to embark on visits to all five finalist schools during the upcoming spring before finalizing his commitment.
Ranked as the No. 196 overall prospect and the 26th linebacker in the esteemed class of 2025, Sacca holds impressive credentials. He stands out as the second-best linebacker and the fourth-best player in Pennsylvania, according to industry rankings provided by On3.
A testament to his talent and dedication, Sacca has clinched MaxPreps High School All-American honors for three consecutive seasons. His athletic prowess runs in the family, with his father, Tony, having previously excelled as a quarterback at Penn State from 1988 to 1991 before securing a spot in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft with the Phoenix Cardinals.
It will be interesting to see if the Ohio State Buckeyes can end up getting the deal done with Sacca. He would be a welcome addition to an already impressive 2025 recruiting class.
