Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns
After managing to set the NFL rookie record for most touchdown passes in a single-season, Baker Mayfield followed that up with a disappointing 2019 season. It could become quite troubling for the former No. 1 overall pick if he fails to get the job done during the upcoming season.
To put it into perspective, Mayfield’s completion percentage dropped by 4.4% down to 59.4% and he threw for almost as many interceptions (21) as he did touchdowns (22). It was a rough season during his lone season under former head coach Freddie Kitchens and will need that change to help.
There is no shortage of talent around Mayfield after the additions the Browns have made over each of the last two years. They signed Austin Hooper early in free agency and added Jedrick Wills in the 2020 NFL Draft to add to an already well-rounded group. Now, Mayfield must produce.
