Darnell Savage Jr., Safety
Next up, we’ll go with the Packers’ second first-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft. Darnell Savage Jr. was drafted to form a long-term duo with Adrian Amos in the secondary and he showed huge potential in his rookie season.
Savage racked up 55 total tackles to go along with two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and five defended passes. He has great ball skills to go along with excellent instincts and a top-notch work ethic. Green Bay has something special with their second-year safety.
This season, the Packers are going to see an even more improved version of Savage. He has had a year to adjust to the NFL and has proven that he is more than capable of playing at a high level. With more work and coaching, he has the potential to turn into a star in the secondary.
Green Bay needs even more playmaking in their secondary in 2020. They have a great pass rush, which will give guys like Savage and Amos the ability to make those plays. Savage is a name to keep a close eye on.
