When the Green Bay Packers decided to trade up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, many were worried about how Aaron Rodgers would take the news. They were also worried about how the two quarterbacks would work together.

Rodgers has since admitted that he wasn’t a huge fan of the pick, but he is not going to hold that against Love. He has been working well with him and is willing to help the youngster out. That will go a long way towards Love’s development in Green Bay.

In a recent interview after a few days of work at Packers’ training camp, Love spoke out about working with Rodgers and what it has been like.

“I’ve got two dudes that I can learn from (and) I’ve learned a lot from them so far. They’ve been a great help for me.” He added that Rodgers is a “great person” and he’s trying to “learn by the watching him.”

Love is absolutely the heir apparent to Rodgers and it seems likely that he will force Rodgers out of town before he retires. That would mean that Rodgers would go down a similar path to the one that Packers’ great Brett Favre traveled.

Rumors have been swirling that the Chicago Bears could be a potential fit for Rodgers in the future. Favre fueled those rumors by saying that he would “love” to see Rodgers in Chicago.

No matter what happens in the future, it’s good to see the two quarterbacks getting along. Rodgers has been in the same shoes that Love is currently in with the Packers.

Learning behind Rodgers is exactly the kind of thing that will help make Jordan Love a successful NFL quarterback himself. Rodgers learned a lot from sitting behind Favre. This is an ideal situation for a young quarterback.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Packers. Rodgers is their quarterback for the foreseeable future, but Love will be waiting in the wings for his opportunity.
