Quite simply, the Raiders are a fairly favorable matchup for Teddy Bridgewater. They aren’t going to be as rough defensively as they were a year ago, but there are absolutely some holes that the Panthers can take advantage of.
Bridgewater also has quite a few weapons at his disposal with the Panthers. DJ Moore and Robby Anderson are a dangerous duo and Curtis Samuel is a talented wideout as well. Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs in the game and his ability as a receiver is well documented.
Everything lines up for Bridgewater to have a successful first season with the Panthers. Let’s take a look at a few things to expect in Week 1.
3. Bridgewater Doesn’t Turn The Football Over A Single Time
First up, the Panthers need to take care of the football. Neither side has an elite defense and there should be plenty of points put up on the board. Bridgewater will do his part and will not turn the football over a single time in his debut with Carolina.
2. At Least 300 Yards and Three Scores
Bridgewater showed last season with the Saints that he is more than just a game manager. He has a strong and accurate arm, which will result in big numbers against the Raiders. When everything is said and done, he should end up recording at least 300 passing yards and three touchdowns.
1. He Leads The Panthers To A Hard-Fought Victory
While the Panthers are not going to win a Super Bowl this season, they aren’t going to be a pushover team either. Bridgewater and company will end up pulling out a close Week 1 win over the Raiders. We are predicting that the Panthers will win this game by a final score of 31-24.
