The 2020 NFL Draft was a great one, but Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow may be the king of it.

Pro Football Focus recently released a list of career grades for players from that 2020 draft class, and Burrow topped the rankings, edging out Minnesota Vikings wide receiver—and Burrow’s former LSU teammate—Justin Jefferson.

Burrow was the No. 1 overall pick in 2020, and he has surely lived up to expectations.

The 27-year-old’s rookie campaign was abbreviated due to a torn ACL, but when he was on the field, he was impressive, throwing for 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 65.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 89.8 in 10 games.

Then, the following year, Burrow broke out, totaling 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 picks while completing a league-high 70.4 percent of his throws and registering a 108.3 passer rating. Most importantly, he took the Bengals all the way to the Super Bowl, where they ultimately fell to the Los Angeles Rams.

Burrow went on to make his first Pro Bowl in 2022 after finishing with 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also completed 68.3 percent of his passes and recorded a passer rating of 100.8, placing fourth in MVP voting.

The 2023 campaign was a nightmarish one for Burrow, as he began the year with a calf issue that severely limited him early on. Then, when he was finally beginning to find his groove, he suffered a wrist injury in Week 11 that knocked him out for the remainder of the season. In 10 contests, Burrow tallied 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions, completing 66.8 percent of his tosses and notching a 91 passer rating.

We’ll see if Joe Burrow can stay healthy in 2024 and if he can finally lead Cincinnati to an elusive Super Bowl championship. In an AFC that includes the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, it certainly won’t be an easy task.
