PFF Reveals Huge Predictions For Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase In 2023

Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals
NFL Analysis Network

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has quickly cemented his standing as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Only two years into his career, he is already making a major impact as a go-to weapon for quarterback Joe Burrow.

The chemistry that the two developed while playing together collegiately at LSU carried right over into the NFL. Despite having one season apart, they picked up right where they left off once they paired up again with the Bengals.

As a rookie, Ja’Marr Chase caught 81 passes for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. He won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award while earning a spot on the All-Pro Second Team and Pro Bowl roster. In Year 2, it was more of the same.

Ja’Marr Chase did suffer an injury that led to him playing only 12 games. It ended up being a hairline fracture in his hip that was caused by his leg being hyperextended. He did attempt to play through it and succeeded. In the game against the Atlanta Falcons, before he was sidelined, he caught eight passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns.

It was determined that rest would be best for him. While he ended up missing five weeks and four games, he remained as productive as ever. He caught 87 passes for 1,046 yards, which was a target share that would have had him on pace to break records. Nine touchdowns were hauled in as well.

What can we expect to see from Ja’Marr Chase in Year 3? Based on projections done over at PFF, more dominance is on the horizon. They are projecting him to set a new career-high with 104 receptions, gaining 1,432 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns.

That should put him on track for another Pro Bowl nod at the very least if not an All-Pro spot as well. If Ja’Marr Chase is able to produce close to what PFF is predicting for him, the Bengals, their fans and Fantasy Football managers are going to be ecstatic.
