Buffalo Bills Projected To Make Bold Trade For Wide Receiver

The Buffalo Bills are in desperate need of help at the wide receiver position.

Not only did they trade Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans earlier this month, but they also lost Gabe Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

That leaves the Bills with Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel as their top two wide outs at the moment, which is certainly not an enviable position.

The good news for Buffalo is that it has the NFL Draft to stock up on weapons.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay thinks the Bills should make a bold move in the draft, proposing that Buffalo should try to snare the seventh overall pick from the Tennessee Titans.

Kay suggests that the Bills send the 28th pick, a second-round selection, a third-rounder and a 2025 first-round pick to the Titans in exchange for No. 7.

This would allow Buffalo to score one of the top receivers in this draft class. While Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to go fourth overall to the Arizona Cardinals, the Bills may have a chance to take LSU’s Malik Nabers or Washington’s Rome Odunze at No. 7.

Of course, this would be a rather expensive move for Buffalo. That’s a whole to give up for a player that isn’t a quarterback, and the Bills could very well find a receiver if they just stay at No. 28.

But right now, Buffalo is in a very tough spot.

Because of the presence of Josh Allen under center, the Bills are always in win-now mode, but it’s going to be very tough for the club to win much of anything next season with the current set of weapons at Allen’s disposal.

Buffalo may feel like it has to take a risk by trading up for a top-tier talent at receiver, even if it ends up costing the Bills an arm and a leg.
