The Philadelphia Eagles have gotten blown out in back-to-back games, most recently losing to the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 33-13 this past weekend.

In spite of all of the trouble, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is not ready to panic.

“We’re not hitting a panic button as far as, ‘we’ve got to do everything.’ We didn’t play well and we didn’t coach good the last two weeks,” Sirianni said, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “We didn’t play good enough and we didn’t coach good enough the last two weeks to win the games. It wasn’t up to our standard, so we’re pissed and we’re looking for ways to fix that.”

Philadelphia has fallen out of first place in the NFC East because of its recent skid, as the Cowboys hold the tiebreaker over Philly.

“Like I said, we have our ideas of what we do, but then there are some times you look at different avenues of whether it’s the criticism from the outside or an analytical thing and you’re like, okay — I’m not saying you can do that all the time because there is an art to knowing what criticisms to listen to and what ones are jokes for that matter, right?” added Sirianni. “But that’s our job as coaches, to go over everything we possibly can to make sure we’re playing our best.”

The Eagles have been struggling on both sides of the ball and have gotten outscored 75-32 over their last two games, good for the NFL’s worst point differential in the month of December.

Philly’s defense has been getting blistered in recent weeks and now ranks just 22nd in the league in yards allowed and 28th in scoring defense. Additionally, the Eagles rank last against defending on third downs and are 30th in red-zone defense.

Nick Sirianni’s group is 10-3 and will head on the road to take on the sliding Seattle Seahawks next Monday. It will then face the New York Giants twice, sandwiched around a meeting with the Arizona Cardinals to close out the regular season.

If the Eagles are going to defend their NFC title, they are going to have to begin turning things around sooner rather than later.
