The 2022 season is going to be one with major changes for Las Vegas Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. After spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers and catching passes from Aaron Rodgers, he underwent a change of scenery this offseason.

Adams had the franchise tag placed on him by the Packers but a long-term deal wasn’t going to get done. As a result, he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, filling a void in their offense as a go-to receiver. He will also be teaming up with his old collegiate quarterback from Fresno State, Derek Carr.

After a slow start to his career, Adams has cemented himself as arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL. He has been named a first-team All-Pro the last two seasons, catching 238 passes for 2,927 yards and 29 touchdowns.

The Raiders are getting a star to build their passing offense around, as Adams is a great addition alongside wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and tight end Darren Waller. In this new chapter of his career, Adams is hoping that he can put a stamp on his legacy.

“At this point, my motivation is my kids, my family, my legacy, stuff like that,” Adams said, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I want a uniform feeling that Davante Adams is ultimately wanting to be a legend, or going to be a legend, or when they look back on it, he was a legend. So that’s what I’m looking about doing. And you got to win a lot to do that, and you got to go out there and stack a pretty decent resume. So, I’m still going.”

Adams has certainly put together an impressive resume, which should only get better as he looks to have plenty of productive seasons ahead of him. He is certainly hoping that more winning occurs in Las Vegas, as the Packers were never able to get over that hump and advanced to the Super Bowl during his tenure with the team.

There are certainly some heightened expectations with the Raiders this season after qualifying for the playoffs last season. With Josh McDaniels taking over as head coach, Las Vegas is hoping to take another step in the right direction and Davante Adams is a big part of those plans.
