RUMOR: Josh Gordon hints at wanting to sign with Washington

Josh Gordon is still a free agent and is hoping to get an opportunity with a team before the start of the 2020 NFL season. At this point in time, it appears that he has a lot of interest in signing with Washington following the team’s loss of Kelvin Harmon to a torn ACL.

How do we know that Gordon is interested in signing with Washington? Because he all but said so with a post on social media.

Check out the source for yourself:

Gordon would make perfect sense as a late free agency target for Washington. They need to bring in another weapon for second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Terry McLaurin is currently his only legitimate target.

We covered Washington’s need to pursue wide receiver help earlier today after the Harmon report broke. Josh Gordon was a name that was mentioned as a potential target.

Last season split between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, Gordon played in 11 games. He caught 27 passes for 426 yards and a touchdown.

At 29 years old, Josh Gordon still has a few good years left in him. Washington would be a great place to sign for the 2020 season. After he recovers some of his value with a solid season, he could re-test free agency next offseason.

Antonio Brown is another name that will come up when it comes to Washington’s search for wide receiver help. However, Gordon would be a much safer and a better pickup for the young football team.

Expect to hear more rumors and news about Washington and Josh Gordon in the near future. It seems like a match made in heaven and both sides should strongly consider the pairing. Gordon should find somewhere to sign before the start of the season even if Washington doesn’t pull the trigger.
