As a former first-round pick, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes have never truly lived up to expectations. He’s been serviceable, but Waynes never took that leap into becoming an elite corner like Minnesota hoped.
After five years with the Vikings, Waynes is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. At 27-years-old, he’ll likely garner some attention around the NFL due to the fact that he’s under 30 and could be a very solid no. 2 corner.
The Seattle Seahawks already have one stellar corner in Shaquill Griffin, but they’re lacking a solidified corner opposite of him.
Waynes not be the caliber of corner Griffin is, but he’d slot in nicely playing on the opposite side of him in Seattle.
