Could the Seattle Seahawks reunite with an old friend ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline? If the Denver Broncos end up selling off a bunch of pieces between now and then, it’s certainly possible. One of the prime trade candidates on the Broncos’ roster is defensive end Frank Clark, who signed a one-year deal with the club back in the spring but has not made an impact thus far in 2023.

Clark has played in just two games while battling a hip injury, logging two tackles.

Earlier this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL media reported that Clark has drawn interest around the league, which is not surprising given that he has been an effective pass rusher in the past.

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox views the Seahawks as a potential fit for the veteran.

Of course, Clark spent the first four years of his career in Seattle and enjoyed a very successful run with the club, winning a Super Bowl and putting together multiple double-digit sack campaigns. His best season with the Seahawks came in 2018, when he racked up 41 tackles and 13 sacks.

Following his time in the Pacific Northwest, Clark linked up with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played four seasons and proceeded to make three straight Pro Bowl appearances between 2019 and 2021. Clark also added a couple of more Super Bowl victories to his resume in Kansas City.

Last year, he registered 39 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Now 30 years old, Frank Clark is no longer the top-flight edge rusher he was during his early days in Seattle, but he could still certainly provide a boost to a Seahawks pass rush that is already very solid, having racked up 16 sacks over the club’s first four games (Seattle had a bye in Week 5).
