Super Bowl LIV: 3 reasons the build up has been among the quietest ever

Conclusion

This has been an extremely emotional and volatile week. The constant stream of negative news has been all-consuming. People are downtrodden, concerned and uncertain of what the future holds. In summary, they are in desperate need of a release.

Lucky for everyone tomorrow marks the day of the biggest sports event of the entire year. It represents a time to gather with friends and family to enjoy their company, over food and drinks while watching a football game.

Sports have long represented a release from the stresses of everyday life for most people. It is why we enjoy them so much. Until recently, it was one of the last bastions of escape from the dirty world of politics, as well as a means to forget about job stress, financial obligations, health concerns or whatever else ailed us.

With all of the negativity of the current events swirling around us, let us all hope that this Super Bowl is one of the most epic games we have ever witnessed. Perhaps an absolute shootout down to the last second between two incredible teams.

We need that outcome now more than ever. We crave that release from the stresses of everyday life that seem to have compounded exponentially as the week has worn on.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, no matter how little coverage it may have garnered, it will be a welcome escape. Take time to relax and enjoy it, you’ve earned it after enduring this hellacious week.
