Two teams have had ‘internal discussions’ about acquiring Antonio Brown

It was just a matter of time before we starting hearing about specific teams expressing interest in All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown. Even though he’ll be 32 years old at the start of next season, we haven’t seen any sort of drop off in on-field talent. He’s simply too good at a premiere position for teams not to show interest.

We’ve heard rumblings that the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks have had some interest in the receiver. The Seahawks are no rookie to bringing in questionable characters, after all they did bring in Josh Gordon last season before he got suspended… again. The Ravens also seem like the type of environment that could take on a personality like Brown.

NFL Network’s Adam Silver added some validity to these rumors on a recent appearance, stating that these two teams have had “internal discussions’ regarding AB.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport backed up those claims when he had an appearance of his own on NFL Network.

AB would obviously be a huge boost to both of these teams’ receiving corps. Pairing either Lamar Jackson or Russel Wilson — two of the best quarterbacks in the league right now — with a talent like Brown should get any football fan excited.

It’s still unclear if AB will be suspended once he gets signed by a team. But, he has been remarkably quiet on social media in the past few months, so maybe he really has turned over a new leaf.

In the last full season AB played in, he put up 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns. There’s no doubt any team would love to have that kind of playmaker catching passes for their offense.
