Vikings: 3 massive bold predictions for Adam Thielen in 2020

Thielen Will Have Over 100 Receptions

In 2018, Thielen hauled in 113 receptions in his second year as a Pro Bowler. But the Vikings last season spread the offense out a lot more, with Stefon Diggs leading the team with 63 receptions.

In 2020, Kirk Cousins has no choice other than to feed Thielen. There is no more Diggs or even Laquon Treadwell. Justin Jefferson could be a monster for the Vikings, but he has to prove his worth and gain the trust from Cousins. Sure, Dalvin Cook is there for the passing game and Kyle Rudolph/Irv Smith Jr. are available for tight end. But Thielen should be the top guy for Cousins to target.

Now Thielen will have it harder this season, as teams can now focus more on him with no Diggs paired with him. But for now, Cousins needs to get the ball to Thielen.

If the Vikings want to make another run in the postseason, they need Thielen to be at the top of his game and with that, he needs to see an uptick in targets from Cousins.
