Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a coming out party during the 2022 campaign. The Dolphins made a splashes in the offseason acquiring Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs, which helped him elevate his game to another level.

With Hill on one side of the field and Jaylen Waddle on the other, Tua Tagovailoa oversaw one of the most explosive passing offenses in the NFL. He led the league in touchdown percentage, yards gained per attempt, average yards gained per attempt, yards gained per completion, passer rating, net yards gained per pass attempt and adjusted net yards per pass attempt.

There wasn’t a quarterback in the NFL that was as efficient as Tua Tagovailoa last season, as the Dolphins were truly dominant when he was on the field. Arguably the most impressive thing about his performance thus far as a professional has been his accuracy.

The Alabama product may not have the strongest arm in the league, but he can put the ball where it needs to be so that his receivers can make plays. That level of accuracy routinely leads to big plays for the offense.

Last season, Tua Tagovailoa completed 64.8 percent of his passes, which was actually a slight step back from his career number of 65.7. That kind of accuracy is something that other teams around the league would kill for.

Just how good of a completion percentage is that? Tua Tagovailoa is ahead of Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Joe Montana in the stat, as well as future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. Manning’s completion percentage was 65.3 percent, while Montana’s is 63.2 percent and Brady’s is at 64.3 percent.

As long as Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy, the Dolphins are going to be among the best teams in the NFL. He was able to produce at such a high level last season despite suffering two documented head injuries.
