The Arizona Cardinals are entering the 2021 NFL season with big-time goals and expectations following another big offseason. Obviously, the two headline additions to the roster were JJ Watt and AJ Green. In addition to those two big names, the Cardinals have other superstars like Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins leading the way.

Speaking of Murray, he has become one of the NFL’s elite stars at the quarterback position. Heading into his third season in the league, many are expecting a huge jump from him from a statistical standpoint.

Looking at the upcoming season, the Cardinals have a tough road ahead. They play in the stacked NFC West division with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks all being very talented teams. In the NFC, there are quite a few more teams that are viewed as top-notch Super Bowl contenders as well.

All of that being said, let’s take a closer look at Murray himself and make two bold predictions for his 2021 campaign.

2. Kyler Murray’s Numbers Soar Through The Roof

First and foremost, we’re going to take a look at what kind of season fans should be expecting from Kyler Murray.

Last season with the Cardinals, Murray completed 67.2 percent of his pass attempts for 3,971 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He also picked up 819 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. Those numbers show why fans and the media are so high on Murray heading into this season.

For this season, we are predicting that Murray will complete over 69 percent of his passes for 4,500 yards, 36 touchdowns, and just 12 interceptions. If he can reach those predictions, Murray will take another step into superstardom in the NFL and the Cardinals will be a very difficult team to beat.

1. He Leads The Cardinals To The NFC Championship Game

Secondly, and even more importantly, the Cardinals as a team are going to take a big leap. After finishing the 2020 season with an 8-8 record and missing the playoffs, Arizona will make a run to the NFC Championship Game in 2021.

Behind the big production and leadership of Kyler Murray, this Cardinals team will have a chance to represent the stacked NFC in the Super Bowl. Murray is that kind of an impact player and is ready to show off more of his full potential.

Arizona swung big this offseason on two superstars that many feel are past their prime. However, Watt and Green are going to revitalize their careers with the Cardinals. Murray will lead Arizona back to serious contention and the future could not look brighter for the franchise as a whole.
