The Browns Need A Consistent Big Target For Baker Mayfield

Talking about Baker Mayfield brings a mixed reaction from fans in Cleveland following the 2019 season. Some are frustrated with his performance and are uncertain what kind of quarterback he will be moving forward. Others are optimistic and still expect him to become the superstar that many thought he would be last season.

While Mayfield absolutely fell short of expectations, there are a few reasons for that. Freddie Kitchens was an awful play-caller, but the Browns need a big target at tight end that plays consistently well. Njoku was supposed to be that guy for Cleveland, but the franchise can’t rely on that happening.

Hunter Henry is one of the most talented tight ends in the NFL. He has struggled with his own injury issues, but there is no denying his potential.

Plenty of teams will be pursuing him this offseason and the Browns should be one of them. Henry would be a lethal weapon for Mayfield to work with. It would give the Browns a new wrinkle for their offense and Kevin Stefanski loves utilizing tight ends, as we all saw last season with the Minnesota Vikings.
