2 running backs the Rams should consider in second round of NFL Draft

With the sudden departure of All-Pro running back Todd Gurley, the Los Angeles Rams are now in the market for a new running back. Since the free agency period has died down, expect the team to address this need through the upcoming NFL Draft.

The void left behind by moving on from Gurley is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s not a coincidence that the team’s offense took a step back last season with his personal production.

The Rams currently have Darrell Henderson, who was a third-round pick in 2019, but could use more talent at the position regardless. Having just one solid running back isn’t enough to replace the previous level of impact Gurley provided setting the tone for the offense.

LA is without a first round pick, but they do have the 53rd overall selection, the 21st pick in the second round. There should be several backs available at that selection, and the Rams will undoubtedly look at each of them as potential options.

Here are two backs who the team should take into serious consideration in this year’s draft.
