4 CBs get drafted on day one
There’s not much of a debate when discussing who the best cornerback is ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jeffrey Okudah is likely to hear his name called first but when viewing the entire cornerback class as a whole, the rest of the defenders come with certain limitations.
CJ Henderson, Kristian Fulton and Jeff Gladney are among others who’ll likely be selected in the mid to latter part of the first round. The rest of the cornerbacks project more as second-rounders, such as A.J. Terrell, Trevon Diggs, and Jaylon Johnson.
A widespread of group think have the majority of these cornerbacks going in round one but it also comes down to what teams could use a defensive back. Plus, with a bulk of secondary options available on day two of the draft — waiting on cornerbacks could be the move this year just as waiting on wide receivers was last year (Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, etc).
Nonetheless, the 2020 class of cornerbacks has depth from top to bottom but the number of high-level cornerbacks to target on day one aren’t much outside of the top four.
