Totals Over 100 Combined Tackles
The Cardinals run an aggressive 3-4 defense and rely on their linebackers to make a strong impact when it comes to stopping the run. There is serious potential for Isaiah Simmons to rack up a high volume of tackles in his hole with Arizona as a result.
Last season, the Cardinals were led by Jordan Hicks (150) and Budda Baker (147) in the tackling department and they each ranked within the top four in the NFL. With Hicks playing alongside Simmons, it’s likely both players will share potential tackles lowering their respective figures to an extent.
The production Simmons provides in 2020 will serve as the foundation for what he can become as he progresses as a player. Managing to reach 100 combined tackles during his rookie campaign appears to be a realistic projection for him to achieve.
The only rookies that managed to reach 100 combined tackles in 2019 included Devin Bush (109), Cole Holcomb (105), and Taylor Rapp (100). It’s not an easy figure to achieve for a first year player but Simmons has the ability to accomplish it.
