Besides signing a veteran, the Raiders would be wise to consider selecting a cornerback in this year’s draft. With two months until the draft, the Raiders own two first-round picks; the No. 12 and No. 19 overall selections.
Seeing that Las Vegas has two first-round picks, one of them undoubtedly needs to be a cornerback. For the purpose of finding their future star cornerback, the Raiders should look no further than Kristian Fulton.
After attending LSU for three years, Fulton is regarded as the best cornerback prospect in April’s draft, according to many. In his final two seasons at LSU, Fulton produced 54 tackles, 20 deflections, and two interceptions.
Drafting Fulton would give the Raiders a corner that thrives in man-coverage. Last offseason, Las Vegas showed a knack for drafting players from the National Champions in college football and they could do so again with Fulton.
