The Green Bay Packers had a relatively quiet offseason this year after nearly making a Super Bowl run in 2019. It was a bit of a surprise that Brian Gutekunst wasn’t more aggressive, but spending money in back-to-back offseason period is not usually a great idea.
Despite the fact that the Packers made some very small moves this offseason, they still expect to be a legitimate contender in the NFC.
Aaron Rodgers is still one of the most feared quarterbacks in the NFL. He has a group around him that should make the Green Bay offense above average. Defensively, the Packers have to feel good about where they’re at.
While the defense may be in a good place, the Packers should still be looking for a move or two. One move that could make perfect sense for the franchise would be bringing back former superstar Clay Matthews, who is still a free agent after being released by the Los Angeles Rams earlier this offseason.
