One of the biggest reasons the Packers should be open to considering a reunion with Matthews is the fact that he knows the system and would fit in.

Bringing in a free agent this late in the offseason can be a tricky task. It takes time for a player to get up to speed within a team’s system. Matthews, however, already knows the defense the Packers run and would fit right in.

Matthews brings the kind of skill-set that Green Bay could use. He adds even more pass-rushing, but quite a bit more to the field as well.
