When Redskins senior vice president of player development Doug Williams spoke to reporters about Haskins, there was a certain tone regarding work ethic. He expressed a need for the second-year quarterback to ‘learn the playbook’ and stay at the facility until they run him out of the building.’

There has been significant progress from Dwayne Haskins in improving his body in preparation for the 2020 season. He recently expressed that he lost 11 lbs so far this offseason and is now down to 220 lbs, which could help further improve his mobility.

Even if the weight loss Haskins has experienced this offseason doesn’t translate to any tangible on-field benefits, it shows his commitment to getting better. Being in great shape and ready to go will be crucial given the unique circumstances of the offseason.

With the offseason being mostly virtual, it will be important for Haskins to spend time studying learning the system Redskins offensive coordinator Scott Turner wants to run. Having a strong understanding of the system before the team takes the field together would display dedication
