3 reasons Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will replicate his 2019 success

Development of A.J. Brown

Being a rookie certainly didn’t stop A.J. Brown from making a major impact for the Tennessee Titans last season. The chemistry he developed with Ryan Tannehill played a critical role in each of their successes within the team’s offense and it may have just been the beginning.

Overall, Brown ended the 2019 season with 52 receptions resulting in 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns. There wasn’t a rookie wide receiver that ended up with more receiving yards or receiving touchdowns than him despite only starting in 11 games.

There was a clear uptick in Browns’s production as the Titans relied on him more. After Tannehill took over at quarterback in Week 7, Brown totaled 38 receptions 778 receiving yards, and six touchdowns.

Considering how much of Brown’s production occurred after Tannehill took over, it suggests there is a lot more where that came from when the Titans pick up from where they left off. It’s fascinating to think about where the Tannehill-Brown can go next in 2020.
