3 sleeper options for the Browns with the No. 10 pick

Browns make aggressive trade up for Isaiah Simmons

Perhaps the most unique player in the 2020 NFL Draft is Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons. There would likely need to be a bit of helping factors for the Browns to be in a position to select him and all scenarios would involve trading up, which could be worth it.

The most likely scenario is that Simmons will be selected by the Giants at No. 4. If the Giants were open to a trade down scenario to get compensated while still being able to take a talented offensive tackle, that could be an option for the Browns to get in the mix.

There is another potential factor to consider and it involves the Giants taking an offensive tackle. That would likely cause Simmons to fall to the Carolina Panthers at No. 7 and trading up just three spots would be much easier for the Browns to be able to accomplish.

Again, all of this is unlikely, but crazy stuff happens on draft night all the time. This would be a way for the Browns to land a player that fits the very definition of versatile and high-potential. Between his closing speed as a QB spy, ability to track down ball carriers and receivers, tools in pass coverage, and pass rushing tenacity, Simmons is a real threat.

Simmons is one of the fastest linebacker prospects in history that cover elite tight ends and running backs out of the backfield effectively. In addition, he can line up at any linebacker position, at safety, in the slot, or even as a defensive end at times.

Imagine being able to land that type of player to a defense that already has Myles Garrett? The Browns would have a few foundational players that side of the ball and would be on track to building something truly special. Being in the conference with Patrick Mahomes and the same division as Lamar Jackson, Simmons would be crucial.
