On the first day of the legal tampering period, the San Francisco 49ers chose to sign Arik Armstead to a five-year, $85 million contract. While Armstead received a new deal, the 49ers made headlines as they proceeded to trade DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts.
In exchange for Buckner, San Francisco was able to net the No. 13 pick from the Colts. Therefore, the 49ers now have two first-round selections in the 2020 NFL Draft.
However, with them not having a second, third, or fourth-round pick, San Francisco could look to trade one of their first-round picks. But with the talent that could be available at the 13th overall pick, it’s more likely that they trade their No. 31 pick for more draft capital.
With the 13th overall pick, San Francisco could look to add another weapon to the offense or address the void left by Buckner. Provided that, here are three targets for the 49ers with the No. 13 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
