3 things the Patriots must do to stay atop the AFC East

While a handful of things will remain the same for the New England Patriots next season; Bill Belichick roaming the sideline, Julian Edelman manning the slot and Stephon Gilmore shutting down opposing wideouts, one major component to the dynasty will no longer be there.

As we all know, Tom Brady has joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, officially ending the Belichick and Brady era of football in New England. Obviously, playing without Brady will be a huge adjustment for Belichick and his staff.

But, Belichick has had to play without Brady before, and he’s shown the ability to still play winning football without having the best quarterback of this generation run his offense. Of course the quarterback position is still vital to any championship contender, but if either Brian Hoyer or Jarrett Stidham can be a stop gap quarterback for at least next season, the Pats could still take the division title in 2020.
