1. Ravens Dominated with the Run
It has become almost an expectation for the Ravens to rip apart defenses with their running game. The latest defense to get exposed by the excellence of Baltimore’s ground game was that of the Texans.
Perhaps most interesting of all is that Baltimore’s leading rusher was Gus Edwards — finishing with 10 carries and 73 yards. The Ravens receiving such a display from a rusher not named Lamar Jackson, J.K. Dobbins, and Mark Engram II is very intriguing to see.
When having to account for Jackson’s elite running ability at the quarterback position, it can be tough for any defense. For the Texans, it was especially challenging as he managed to gain 54 yards with his legs in addition to the 204 he threw for.
On top of all that, Ingram broke off a 30-yard touchdown run at one point in this game along with Dobbins gaining 44 yards on one of his attempts, too. Overall, the Ravens finished with 230 rushing yards — outproducing the Texans’ running game by 179 yards.
