3. Do Not Sleep on Benny Snell Jr.
It’s important to have balance for any NFL offense, or at least to have the right type of talents to attack the opposition in different ways. The Steelers may have found their power back in Benny Snell Jr. that can get the job done in the ground game.
Against the Giants, Snell Jr. received 19 of the Steelers’ 30 carries and recorded 113 yards. It was a needed boost for Pittsburgh considering James Conner suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter and did not return to the lineup for the remainder of the game.
It will be fascinating to see if Snell Jr. can continue to make a strong impact on carries for the Steelers’ offense. Paired up with Conner, it’s apparent that both running backs could form an intriguing one-two punch to give defenses different looks.
If Snell Jr. can continue to build on his strong Week 1 outing, the Steelers’ offense could be quite difficult for any opponent to stop. There is plenty of versatility in the unit and Snell Jr.’s impact is important in that regard.
