Which Defensive Front Will Cause More Damage?
The Atlanta Falcons made the biggest move on their defensive line this offseason by adding Dante Fowler. Fowler had a career year for the Los Angeles Rams in 2019 and is hoping to keep that momentum moving forward this year. Against a Seattle team that will hope to have a balanced attack, Fowler will need to take the lead in causing disruption.
Meanwhile the biggest change to the Seahawks defensive line was losing Jadeveon Clowney to the Titans. Clowney has played like one of the best players in the league at different points during his career, he underperformed in Seattle.
The hope for the Seahawks is that they can replace Clowney’s productivity and keep creating pressure with their other pass rushers. The fear is that the attention was all focused on Clowney and without him, the rest of the line will not be able to create havoc with more attention.
The defenses will be tested and most likely beat throughout the course of this game. The difference maker is going to be which defense is able to generate more pressure and make the opposing quarterback more uncomfortable.
