Randall Cobb, Wide Receiver, Texans

To replace DeAndre Hopkins, the Texans went out and brought in two quality wide receivers. Randall Cobb was signed in free agency and Brandin Cooks was acquired via trade from the Los Angeles Rams.

Cobb is going to be asked to be a major playmaker for the offense. Watson needs a quality possession wide receiver, which is what Cobb has been throughout his entire career. Against the Chiefs, Cobb could come up big for the Texans with his ability to make plays in the open field and run crisp routes.

Last season with the Cowboys, Cobb caught 55 passes for 828 yards and three touchdowns. At 30 years old, Cobb is more than capable of taking those numbers to a bigger stage.

Houston will look to rely on Cobb all season long. He needs to step up against the Chiefs in order for the Texans’ offense to play up to their potential.
