Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Wide Receiver, Packers

Everyone knows that Davante Adams is the obvious No. 1 target for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. However, his status is a bit in doubt for Week 3 against the Saints due to a hamstring injury suffered against the Detroit Lions.

While the wide belief is that Adams will be able to play, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will need to step up. He has big-play potential and seems to be Rodgers’ favorite deep threat. Against the Saints, the Packers will need him to make a big play or two.

Through two games this season, MVS has caught seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown. He can create mismatches with his combination of size (6-foot-4, 205 pounds) and speed.

If the Packers want their aerial attack to remain at an elite level this week, they will need Valdes-Scantling to step up. He is an X-Factor for the Packers not just this week, but for the rest of the season as well.
