Andre Dillard
Besides the move to part ways with Jenkins, the Eagles also chose to move on from Jason Peters — for the time being. For the past 11 seasons, Peters has been a mainstay on Philadelphia’s offensive line, protecting the blindside of whoever was under center (besides Michael Vick since he was left handed).
Even though Peters was given a chance to test free agency, it appears there is mutual interest in a possible reunion this offseason. However, if the Eagles officially move on from Peters, then Andre Dillard will be tasked with filling the void left by the All-Pro tackle.
Dillard, Philadelphia’s first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, was being groomed to be the eventual replacement for Peters in his rookie season. In the event that Dillard is named the starter, the Eagles hope the second-year offensive tackle can provide similar production that Peters had for 11 years.
