Jadeveon Clowney, Outside Linebacker, Seattle Seahawks
If the Falcons find a way to clear some cap space and want to swing big on a defensive playmaker, Jadeveon Clowney would be their guy. Obviously, it doesn’t seem like Atlanta could afford Clowney, but stranger things have happened.
Dan Quinn is a defense-first head coach and Clowney would be a dream pickup for him. Atlanta also needs to find a way to get to opposing quarterbacks at a much higher level than they have recently.
Clowney’s numbers were “down” in 2019 with the Seahawks. He ended the year with 31 tackles, three sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one defensive touchdown, one interception, and three defended passes. Those numbers came in just 12 games, which show why a team like the Falcons should come calling if they can figure out a way to get it done.
