Saquon Barkley Will Take Over In 2nd half
Saquon Barkley is most lethal when running the football even though he is an impactful receiver out of the backfield, too. He is a phenomenal talent that can take over a football game. Expect him to do just that in the second half of this game.
In fact, don’t be surprised if Barkley breaks off for multiple second-half touchdowns. Expect the Giants to feed him in the second half and ward off any comeback attempt by the Steelers.
It’s not going to be easy for the Steelers to slow Barkley down. He can run up the gut and is a top-three power back in the NFL. If the defense starts blitzing A-gap to solidify the inside, he can use his quickness to bounce runs outside. If the Steelers just opt to try and shut down the run game, then Barkley is a threat in the passing game, too.
With Ben Roethlisberger struggling early, the Giants will turn to Barkley to protect their lead. When New York does decide to lean on their star running back, expect him to take over the game. The most likely time for that to occur is in the second half.
