5 bold predictions for Panthers vs. Saints in Week 7

Saints, Michael Thomas

3. Michael Thomas Returns And Is Productive

Thomas has been missing in action since Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The league’s top receiver has been dealing with a high-ankle sprain and is rumored to be returning this week. That will open up the Saints’ offense immediately.

The Saints held Thomas out of their Week 5 win over the Chargers for an incident with a teammate. He should be healthy and ready to go coming out of the bye. If that happens, Brees will be happy to have his main target back.

Thomas being on the field requires a lot of attention from opposing defenses. That will open up Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook. Tre’Quan Smith has also been productive.

Thomas will come back into the offense with a vengeance. He will be targeted a lot throughout the game like he has been for years within the Saints’ offense and will put together big numbers against the Panthers.
