5 bold predictions for the Raiders vs. Patriots matchup in Week 3

The Las Vegas Raiders and the New England Patriots will be facing each other in Week 3, and this game should not disappoint football fans as both teams are playing at a pretty solid, and even better than expected, level after the first two weeks of the 2020 NFL season.

This AFC showdown will be played at Gillette Stadium, and the game is airing on CBS at 1 p.m. ET, with the Raiders being 2-0 to start the season and the Patriots at 1-1 after two weeks. This game also features two quarterbacks who are playing better than some expected, too.

Derek Carr of the Raiders has completed 73 percent of his passes (50-of-68) for 521 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. On the other side of the field will be Cam Newton of the Patriots, who in his first two games with New England has passed for 552 yards (45-of-63), completing 71.43 percent of his passes for one touchdown and one interception.

Newton has also helped the Patriots with his ability to run with the football, as he leads the Patriots in rushing with 26 carries for 122 yards and four touchdowns.

This can be a “Game of the Week” candidate in Week 3 because of the way these two quarterbacks are playing. The Patriots were just yards away from possibly being 2-0 to start the season, and the Raiders are building their team under Jon Gruden into a potential playoff contender if they keep grinding out wins.

With that being said, let’s take a look at Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots in Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season.
