Hopkins Limited Below 100 Yards, Gets a TD
The Kyler Murray to DeAndre Hopkins combination was something that Cardinals fans have been excited to witness all offseason, and the first look at this duo did not disappoint.
Hopkins had 14 receptions for 151 yards in the first week on his new team. This will be a connection that will be relied on early and often throughout the season.
This game will see a similar pass rush from Washington which could put the Cardinals behind the sticks on a few occasions. Hopkins will be the primary target for Murray but will be relying on more quick patterns to get the ball out of Murray’s hands and away from the defensive line.
These quick throws will give Hopkins plenty of looks but will make it hard to create a lot of yards after the catch. Expect one of the short RedZone throws to go to Hopkins for a touchdown, but that he will have far fewer total yards in Week 2.
