New York Jets
There is still a need for the New York Jets to bolster their top-end talent at the cornerback position. Basically, there was plenty of reason why they were interested in signing Logan Ryan in the first place.
When looking at the current landscape of the Jets’ cornerback depth, it’s simply underwhelming. They signed Pierre Desir after he was released by the Indianapolis Colts and he’s coming off a disappointing 2019 campaign.
The Jets will surely need Brian Poole to replicate his impressive production from 2019 and there’s no guarantee it does occur. Meanwhile, Blessuan Austin is largely unproven having only started in six total games during his NFL career.
Given the departure of Tom Brady from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the AFC East is more open than it has been in a while. Now is the time for the Jets to look to capitalize by bolstering the talent on its roster.
