5 NFL teams who would be most impacted by playing without fans

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

New Orleans Saints

Even though the Superdome will drop the name ‘Mercedes-Benz’ after the 2020 NFL season, the New Orleans Saints will still have arguably the loudest stadium in the NFL. When opposing teams visit the Saints, they constantly have trouble making simple communications at the line of scrimmage.

Furthermore, quarterbacks typically have trouble even getting the play call from the sideline. Regardless of what people think of the Saints, they always have an impressive turnout at each of their home games.

Having a home crowd that can change the dynamic of a game is a valuable asset to have when playing games in the NFL. However, if games are played sans fans in 2020, then the Saints will be playing on a level playing field — just like the other 31 teams.
