The Pittsburgh Steelers remain a team of significant interest as the NFL offseason progresses.

Leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, speculation swirled around the San Francisco 49ers potentially trading one of their standout wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel.

While no such trade materialized, the possibility lingers that the 49ers could still explore such options before the start of the upcoming season.

Both Aiyuk, who desires a contract extension, and Samuel could find themselves on shaky ground in San Francisco, especially if another team seeks to bolster their receiving corps.

Given the offensive struggles faced by the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky suggested via Twitter that the Steelers should pursue a trade for Samuel ahead of the upcoming season.

The Steelers have demonstrated a clear commitment to addressing their offensive shortcomings this NFL offseason. They secured veteran quarterback Russell Wilson through a trade and acquired Justin Fields, solidifying their quarterback position.

Furthermore, the Steelers’ early selections in the NFL Draft primarily focused on offensive talent. Adding tackle Troy Fautanu, center Zach Frazier, wide receiver Roman Wilson, and guard Mason McCormick indicates a strategic emphasis on bolstering offensive capabilities.

The addition of Deebo Samuel, or potentially Aiyuk, would further bolster the Steelers’ offensive arsenal, positioning them favorably as they embark on the 2024 season and contend in one of the league’s most competitive divisions.

Granted, this is just an idea that the Pittsburgh Steelers would likely love to make happen. Actually getting a trade done would be much more difficult.
