5 Players To Buy-Low On In Fantasy Football After Week 3

Not all struggling players can be evaluated the same in Fantasy Football. There are some players who have seen their playing time scaled back because of effectiveness, which can lead to a player being a cut candidate. Other times, there are players who are getting the opportunities but haven’t made the most of them yet.

The players who are receiving the snaps but not the touches yet are the ones that you should target. Buy-low opportunities always exist in Fantasy Football and are worth exploring. If the price is right, you should pull the trigger.

After the Week 4 games, there are a few players who would qualify as such. One player you should look into as a buy-low candidate is Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier. His role is dependent on how the team is doing.

When the Falcons are leading, Allgeier is on the field for 68.4 percent of snaps to help ice the game away. That percentage drops when the game is tied or they are losing, which isn’t shocking as Bijan Robinson is an elite dual-threat option.

Light usage against the Jacksonville Jaguars will lead to some impatient owners looking to move on from Allgeier. Take advantage and see if you can acquire him for pennies on the dollar. Another running back to look into is Aaron Jones.

After missing two games because of a hamstring injury, Jones was back in the lineup for the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. Fantasy Football owners would argue otherwise, as he was nowhere to be seen most of the game and didn’t get his first touch until the second quarter.

The Packers have struggled when it comes to run-blocking, but Jones is an elite receiver. We saw that in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears when he caught two passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. That receiving upside makes him useful in Fantasy Football and some managers could be looking to move on given the offensive line situation in Green Bay.

Looking for a wide receiver to target? Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints is your guy. Week 4 was a mess for New Orleans, Olave included, who had the worst game of his young NFL career. He caught only one pass for four yards and most of his targets were deemed uncatchable.

The injury to Derek Carr is worth monitoring as he was off his game Sunday afternoon. He needs to be healthy for Olave to become productive. If not, we know Jameis Winston isn’t afraid to air it out, making Olave a nice buy-low target.

Another wide receiver worth looking into is Calvin Ridley of the Jaguars. He was shadowed by A.J. Terrell, which is a tough matchup. But, Ridley is still among the most targeted players in the NFL, which is what Fantasy Football managers want to hear.

Ridley has been the ultimate boom-or-bust player this season. He leads the league with four drops and has two games with single-digit Fantasy Football Points. With favorable matchups coming his way, this could be the last chance to get him at a discounted price.

Last but not least is Ridley’s quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence hasn’t quite lived up to expectations yet this season as many people expected him to take another jump. He isn’t in the top 10 yet, with only one finish that high this season.

Alas, that could change quickly. The same benefits Ridley is going to have will also be present for Lawrence. If his receivers can clean things up when it comes to the drops, Lawrence’s numbers would look much better on the surface.

When taking a deeper dive, there are areas in which Lawrence has already improved. If you want to get in on some shares of him in Fantasy Football before the counting stats start showing that uptick as well, the time is now.
