The Baltimore Ravens won their third straight game on Sunday, defeating the Arizona Cardinals to improve to 6-2. Afterward, Ravens tight end Mark Andrews sent a subtle warning to the rest of the NFL.
“We’re not complacent,” Andrews told CBS sideline reporter Justin Walters after the game. “We know the type of team that we are and we’re starting to be, and I think that’s kind of coming to fruition these last couple of weeks.”
Andrews logged four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in front of friends and family at State Farm Stadium, as the 28-year-old is originally from Arizona.
On the season overall, Andrews has caught 32 passes for 397 yards and six touchdowns.
The University of Oklahoma product was selected by Baltimore in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and has been a significant part of the offense ever since.
Andrews played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign and totaled 34 grabs for 552 yards and three scores. The following year, Andrews broke out, hauling in 64 receptions for 852 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.
Andrews’ best season to date, however, came in 2021, when he snared 107 balls for 1,361 yards while reaching the end zone nine times, earning himself a trip to the Pro Bowl and a First-Team All-Pro selection in the process.
Now in his sixth season, Andrews has already posted three Pro Bowl appearances.
The Ravens do seem to be coming together as a collective unit over the last several weeks. They had a disappointing road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 5, but since then, a switch seems to have flipped for Baltimore, and it seemed most apparent last weekend in the club’s resounding 38-6 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Mark Andrews and Co. will head back home to host the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.
