Bears Need A 1,000-Yard Rusher
This is a simple goal for the 2020 Chicago Bears because playing in the NFC North, well, the rushing game always comes in handy when facing teams on the famed Soldier Field, especially in the later months of the season. The Bears didn’t have a 1,000-yard rusher last season or in the season before that.
The Bears were led by David Montgomery in rushing yards last season with 889 yards, as he averaged just 3.7 yards per carry. Montgomery also had six rushing scores and two touchdowns, but again, none of the above numbers were off the charts.
Tarik Cohen was next with 213 yards on the ground on 64 carries with no touchdowns and 3.3 yards per carry. It is very simple for the Bears, the goals need to be to have a better overall rushing game and to have a running back who averages over four yards per carry, or the offense won’t be able to have much success this season.
