Bengals: 3 early goals for running back Joe Mixon in 2020

50+ receptions

Dating back to his college days at Oklahoma, Mixon has always shown a knack for catching the ball. In his two seasons at Oklahoma, he caught 65 passes for 894 yards and nine touchdowns.

While he hasn’t produced the yardage he did in college, Mixon has had similar production in terms of receptions in the NFL. After notching 30 receptions as a rookie, Mixon has combined for 78 receptions over the past two seasons with the Bengals.

However, with Joe Burrow as his new quarterback, Mixon should see more opportunities in the passing game next season. As a result, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the former second-round pick hauled in 50+ receptions for the first time in his career in 2020.
