10 rushing touchdowns
Since being selected in the second round out of Georgia, Chubb has been a focal point in Cleveland’s offense. Thus, allowing him to have an ample amount of opportunities to score touchdowns.
However, after scoring eight rushing touchdowns in his rookie season, Chubb produced eight more in his sophomore campaign. Even though eight touchdowns is nothing to laugh at, there were multiple failed opportunities for Chubb to score even more touchdowns on the ground in 2019.
In Chubb’s defense, Freddie Kitchens fell short of giving him better chances to score near the goal line. As a matter of fact, Chubb had 15 attempts (third-most in the NFL) inside the five-yard line and came away with just two touchdowns.
Additionally, Chubb was the only running back in the NFL to finish with negative rushing yards inside the five-yard line that received more than eight carries. With Kitchens no longer part of the picture — and an improved offensive line— Chubb should have more success finding the end zone.
